What is Sculptra?

There are many different types of dermal fillers available for facial rejuvenation. Sculptra is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) dermal filler used for facial sculpting and volume restoration. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, which provide immediate results by adding volume under the skin, tissue stimulating injections work gradually over time through the process of collagen stimulation.

During Sculptra treatment a solution of PLLA micro-particles is injected into the treatment area, targeting areas of wrinkles and volume loss. The body surrounds the micro-particles with new collagen deposits, resulting in natural-looking improvements over 6-12 months.

Sculptra Benefits

As we age, our natural collagen production slows down, contributing to loss of volume, sagging skin and the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Injectable collagen stimulators offer a number of facial contouring benefits. In addition to volume improvements, Sculptra can restore skin elasticity and firmness, resulting in a more youthful and lifted appearance.

Although it’s not considered a replacement for surgery, Sculptra injections can give a subtle non-surgical facelift effect that is completely natural. For individuals looking to avoid looking “overfilled,” an issue often associated with other injectables, Sculptra is the ideal solution. Additionally, a big advantage of Sculptra is its long-lasting results, up to two years or more.

What Does Sculptra Treat?

Lines and Wrinkles

Sculptra’s wrinkle-reduction effects are most noticeable around the eyes (crow's feet), mouth and upper lip, nasolabial and marionette lines (lines that run vertically from the corners of the mouth down to the chin).

Facial Contours

When it comes to facial aesthetic procedures that contour areas such as cheeks and jawline, injectable treatment with Sculptra is preferred for its subtle results and long-lasting effects.

Lost Volume

Aging, illness and even genetics can result in a gaunt-looking facial appearance. Sculptra cosmetic injections can restore volume in the cheeks, temples and jawline, helping to revitalize hollow or sunken areas.

Facial Asymmetry

Sculptra goes beyond anti-aging treatments. It can be used to address asymmetrical facial features, creating a more balanced and harmonious facial appearance.

Skin Laxity and Sagging:

Sculptra can stimulate collagen production over time, which can improve skin elasticity and firmness. Areas such as cheeks and jowls, where skin laxity is common, Sculptra can give a lifting effect without the need for surgery.

ELEGIBILITY Who is a Good Candidate

The ideal candidate for Sculpta tissue stimulating injections is someone seeking facial rejuvenation and volume restoration without surgery. Individuals should be in good health and have realistic expectations about the outcomes of this facial aesthetic procedure. Sculptra is suitable for both men and women looking to reverse the signs of aging, or younger patients who want to enhance their facial features with a natural-looking outcome.
