Intrauterine Insemination (IUI):

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is an Assisted Reproductive Technique designed to improve the chances of conception. The process involves the following steps:

  1. Ovarian Stimulation and Monitoring: The ovaries are stimulated to promote optimal maturation of the ova (eggs), which are then closely monitored to determine the most favorable time for insemination.
  2. Administration of the Ovulation Trigger (HCG Injection): Once egg maturation is confirmed, an ovulation trigger injection (HCG Injection) is administered to enhance the likelihood of fertilization.
  3. Sperm Injection: Sperm is directly injected into the uterus at the optimal time and location to maximize the chances of pregnancy.

Typically, IUI is attempted up to three to four times. If pregnancy does not occur after these attempts, alternative assisted reproductive technologies, such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), may be considered.
