In Vitro Fertilization (IVF):

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a leading and highly effective method of assisted reproductive technology. The procedure involves the following steps:

  1. Ovarian Stimulation: begins by stimulating ovulation using hormonal injections to increase the number of mature eggs.
  2. Monitoring Follicle Size: The size of the ovarian follicles is monitored regularly until they reach the appropriate size for egg retrieval.
  3. Egg Retrieval: Under general anesthesia, eggs are retrieved using a specialized transvaginal needle, performed under the guidance of the physician.
  4. Fertilization of Eggs: The retrieved eggs are fertilized with the partner’s sperm in the laboratory using standard fertilization techniques, overseen by a laboratory specialist to ensure optimal fertilization quality.
  5. Embryo Transfer: After successful fertilization and embryo development, the embryos are transferred back into the uterus to proceed with the natural stages of pregnancy.
  6. Use of Progesterone and Waiting: Following the embryo transfer, the woman uses progesterone supplements and waits for two weeks to confirm pregnancy.

This technique provides a higher chance of achieving pregnancy in cases of infertility or unexplained delayed conception, genetic disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, sperm analysis issues (such as count, motility, or morphology defects), or problems with the fallopian tubes.
